Do I Need To Save Edited Article? 7 Years ago Karma: 0
1) After editing article inside the Article Window, do I have to save it before posting? If so, where is the 'Save' button?

2) What I actually added in the article was the 2 adsense codes you recommended in your 'Best Placement for Adsense Ads' blog post. I inserted the rectangular size ad codes right at the top before the 1st paragraph but after the title. The other banner ad after the last paragraph of the post.

I clicked on 'Post to Blog' but when I refreshed that blog, the ads were not shown. I then went into my wp-admin to check on that post, it was the original post without the additional codes and I have to manually insert the adsense codes again.

3) Do I have to manually input the 2 adense ad codes into each and every post at the placements that you've recommended or is there a default/quicker way of doing it?

Thanks for your time to my questions.

Regards,
Angie

There is no Save button. After editing the article, simply select a different article and the changes get saved.

You don't even have to enter these codes manually on every post. If you want them to be auto applied, edit the feed and under the post template option, enter the adsense codes above the {article-content} tag.

If that doesn't help either, you can directly add these codes to the theme/template of your blog. There are also some free third party adsense plug-ins that will allow you insert ads into every post automatically. Google for them.

1) Tried the post template option, it doesn't work. Results - all the words in the entire article got highlighted and underlined as in hypertext.

2) Trying a plugin now called Wp-Advertising Manager... while doing the Ad Formatting, there's an area where I have to input "HTML Code Before", could you kindly advise if it's asking for the html code before the Ad Code, which should be referring to the title correct? because the title comes before the Ad placement.

If so, is there a standard html code and could you show me how it is written please?

3) Also, just before the other Banner Adsense Ad will be the end of post, hence could you also advise the "HTML Code Before" for this one too.

Many thanks in advance for all help rendered.

Can you try entering something else in the post template such as some plain text instead of adsense codes and tell me if it produces proper results?

You can try out a plug-in called Adsense Deluxe for WordPress and it seems to be good.

Let me known.

You can use Easy Adsense Plugin to automatically insert Ad block at wherever you want to put. No need to mess up with code.

Okay...I added 'This is for testing' and it works...by default, every article downloaded has this sentence at the start. Why can't the adsense code works then?

This is for testing.

Is the Adsense Deluxe plugin free to use or payable?
