Trouble Updating Feeds 7 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello Everyone!

I am a new ABS user. I am very glad to see such an awesome forum for this awesome software. Today I did my very first series of posts. However, a little while ago, when I attempted to update some of the feeds, I started getting an error message indicating: " object reference not set to an instant of an object." I have moved through all of the feeds that I have and the same error message emerges with them all. Does someone know what could be wrong and how to fix it? At present I am unable to update any feeds and therefore cannot post. Maybe I did something wrong, but I cannot immediately figure it out. From the search I have done it sounds like it has to do with the actual programming code. I have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am in limbo right now because no feeds update properly and therefore all of my posting has come to a halt. I have tried to restart the program several times and even reboot the computer. But the issue persists!

Rob

ps: I am running on Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Rob, thanks a lot for your comments on my software as well as on the forum.

If you have not added many blogs/feeds to the software, simply delete the folder named "data" present in the install folder of the software (C:\Program Files\CartyStudios..\WebMag..)

Then open the software to begin with the Welcome screen. Btw, which version of the software are you using?

Regards,
Carty..

I am running version 2.0... this seems to happen every time I try to update the feeds. I have like eight feeds programmed in. Should I still delete the "data" file? In which way will that help? I'm also noticing that when I try to post, the software often gets stuck in "uploading images for such and such..." and no progress is made. I come back a few hours later and the software is still showing the same message and nothing else has been posted. What can this be?

If you're posting to a Blogger.com blog and it gets stuck at uploading images, chances that you have incorrect FTP settings. Please create a text file named 'ErrLog' and place it inside the install folder of the software (C:\Program Files\CartyStudios Corp.\WebMag..)

Open the software, make some posts, close it and check this text file to see if the software has written anything onto it.

Regards,
Carty..
